The Great Pumpkin Invasion

Happy Wednesday, all! How's the week so far? It's a bit busy over here. Lots of fun projects in the works, another trip on the horizon and friends coming by tomorrow... which means it's time for a little fall decor - or as Mr. H. calls it, the great pumpkin invasion.

A curious neighbor stopped by to see what was going on as the annual pumpkin parade started on our front steps.

Outside I'm loving bright oranges and pops of color.

Indoors, it's more subtle shades - how great are all the pumpkin and gourd varietals we get to choose from currently? Ghosts, goblins, pinks, funky-shaped heirlooms and good old round and orange, they can be almost sculptural perched on a garden seat or lining up on the mantel.

Here's hoping the rest of your week is full of fall delights.

Any great pumpkins arrive at your house yet? XO

  1. How I love the décor for this season, and those white pumpkins are my favorites. I 've been meaning to photograph my white pumpkins, but school is wild and weekends are my only time to snap any photos! Even my weekends are full, but it's fun to watch what other people are doing, and your lovely décor is inspiring.

    HAVE A SUPER DAY! Anita

PS. Another trip on the horizon?!

  5. I can never resist buying them early, which means a few make a showing in late September. I know, that just isn't done, but I can't help it. I love the festive feel to this season.

  10. Your autumn décor both outdoors and inside is lovely. The neutral shades look so effective next to the mirror. 'The Great Pumpkin Invasion' - I really like that!
