Another Visit To The Enchanted Home

Happy Monday, all. Was it a good weekend? Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and emails about Tina's gorgeous luncheon at The Enchanted Home! The winners of the Trick or Chic note cards are Lee Kirch and Lauren from Simply LKJ. Congratulations Lee and Lauren! I'll be in touch to get mailing information.

Now, should we take one last peek inside this stunning home? Pictures don't really do it justice, there is so much beauty in each room, and Tina has made sure that every detail is perfect...

Beautiful, right? But no decor or design nuance could equal Tina herself - her warmth, hospitality and ability to make guests feel at instantly at home is truly enchanting.

Thanks, Tina, for inviting us all in.

What do think is the most important quality in a host?

Have an enchanted week! XO

  1. I think you nailed it when you described Tina's ability to make her guests instantly feel right at home. Warmth and generosity are gifts that not all possess, so when you enter into anyone's home who knows how to make you comfortable, that is a GIFT! I am not aware of it, but has Tina' home ever been in big named magazines? Like House Beautiful, Town and Country or Architectual Digest? IT SHOULD! I love the details you captured of nooks and corners that I've never seen. Stunning, absolutely stunning!!!
    Have a super day, Anita

    1. I have to say that I agree with Anita...has this truly stunning home been featured??

And again, your photos...a pro (and I happen to live with one and know of what I speak) would be hard, hard pressed to do better. The balance of light is especially gorgeous, so hard to do well...and the choice of details...such as the star in the flooring?...wow.

This was quite a treat today, merci copine. :)

    2. I know, right? Definitely magazine worthy and a home that needs to be shared. We actually talked a bit about that at lunch, and while I'm sure it will happen eventually, there are a few reasons why we haven't seen it yet - Tina can describe better, so I won't try here. But one of these days, it's bound to be featured somewhere!

Thanks for all the kind words about my photos. I'm still learning, but having a great time.

      Happy new week, ladies! XOXO

    1. Thanks, Tina. I can't think of a better job than to be the official photographer of The Enchanted Home - well, maybe Teddy has the dream job, but beyond that...

Glad you like the photos - have to say that the old school camera does help, it can do a few things that the iPhone can't - although is a pain to lug around :-)

      Happy Monday! XOXO

  3. Jeanne,
The most important quality in a host is to make one feel welcome!
I love that Tina has created a home to love and to share. I think that says so much about how open she is to life and to sharing good things with each of us. Your photos are amazing and you captured everything.....just missing Teddy.

  5. You did it again, Jeanne! These photos are gorgeous. Yesterday I got a call from a friend who asked me where I bought the adorable notecard I sent her. I told her all about you and your blog. You need to open a shop asap!!!

  6. Thanks so much, Katie! You are too kind. Shop is definitely in the works - although realistically will probably come in the new year as it feels like the holidays are almost upon us and I have a few commissioned illustrations in the pipline. But soon!

Thanks again, and hope you have a wonderful week! XOXO

  7. I'm trying to think what is the MOST important quality of a HOSTESS.......No one yet seems to have answered that!I think it would be to have made the lunch herself and to be welcoming to all........certain to have glasses full and keep the CONVERSATION alive.I'm certain that was done in this beautiful setting!

  8. Tina raised the bar so high that none of us will be able to host a luncheon again! Here home is truly a work of art and love and you captured it beautifully in your post. We're having fun sending your adorable cards out to loved ones for Halloween!

  9. Hi Jeanne!
GORGEOUS photos! You have so captured the essence of the day and of Tina's stunning home. I think the most important quality in a hostess is the ability to make everyone who walks through the doors feel at home. And, I think this can only happen through preparation. When the hostess enjoys the party, so do her guests!!! :)

  10. oh jeanne! you are a fabulous photographer! i love tina's home so much, and you have honored her with this beautiful post. i think a relaxed host makes the best host, and if that means a big ol' glass of red wine, bare feet, or a non-immaculate space, so be it. hoping you all are getting similar autumn weather..blissful here. hugs.
