A Recipe For The Pefect Weekend

Hi everyone! Have you taken a moment or two to stop and taste the rosé? Admittedly I had something else entirely planned to chat about today... but the summer days have been so lovely, and there are only a few left, so instead there was more sun to soak up and rosé to sip in an attempt to make the perfect weekend last a few days more...

The ingredients for a perfect weekend? Well, there's the rosé, of course. Hats and sunglasses are one of the few wardrobe requirements - along with cute coverups, bikinis and fip flops bare feet...

Lunch is always on the terrace. The sunnier the better, with a few cooling shadows cast by the wisteria...

Flavors are fresh and simple...

The conversation is as sparkling as the lake...

And the laughter lingers long after the last crumb has been devoured.

What's your recipe for the perfect weekend? Hope you have a few left this summer!

XO

  1. Hello Jeanne

It looks like you are having a delightful summer and, like you, I long for it to continue. I just love your images.
We have been taking a picnic to the beach on a frequent basis. We keep it simple, cheese/tomatoes and freshly baked bread accompanied by a huge theremos flask of Barry's Irish tea.

  3. Hi Jeanne, Such a fun summer you've been having! Yes, the weather has been perfect and we are thankful for the that:) Alfresco dinning .. on the deck, lakeside, or on a rooftop in Seattle.. it doesn't get much better than that. I can't believe we are ending August. I'm looking forward to the month on September as the construction of the house will (hopefully) be completed for the most part. It's been a bit of a roller coaster with the next couple weeks being the worst .. this too will pass. Have fun today and enjoy the gorgeous weather! xxL

  6. Yours sounds pretty good to us! Any weekend that does not involve chores or regattas rank high on our list as perfect and this one coming up should come close... As long as the sunny weather holds, we'll be happy relaxing before the fall craziness starts up.

Oh the lazy, hazy days of summer......how beautifully you capture them here. You look to have been enjoying a wonderfully relaxing time, exactly what the summer is for. And, yes, there is nothing like a chilled glass of rose to really hold on to the summery mood. Cheers!

  10. I'm simply wishing for just a few more days of sunshine and warm weather. It's raining here, gloomy and suddenly chilly! However, your lovely images have inspired me to remain positive and I'll put a couple of bottles of rosé in the fridge ....just in case!
