Butter, Sugar, Flowers

It was back to The London Plane last night. This time for a food and wine pairing class with chef Matt Dillon and wine guy Marc Papineau. Too much deliciousness - in our glasses, on our plates and in the good company all around - to leave room for much to say. But aren't those the best nights? The ones that remind you that there are only a few simple ingredients to a well-lived life?

If you live in Seattle, The London Plane offers all sorts of yummy things - breakfast, lunch, wine, nibbles, treats to bring home and wonderful classes. Check them out if you haven't already.

What are your key ingredients to a well-lived life?

Happy Wednesday! XO

  3. Yep! .. the key ingredients... butter, sugar, and flowers! I plan to get there at some point when the house isn't so time consuming. We are fortunate to live in a spot that we can enjoy all of this fresh ~ farm to table food. Great pics Jeanne!

    1. You don't need much more than butter, sugar and flowers. Maybe a slice of good bread and a glass of rosé! Hope the house project is coming along! XOXO

  7. Just yesterday, I was offered a lovely brownie at a client's office and she said, "They only use the best ingredients" - so I think it pays to buy really good ingredients. I love fine spots like that and always having good butter and cheese, well and wine too. Flowers just elevate things up a notch!

  9. I'm quite late to this conversation, but I couldn't help chiming in! Naturally, my key ingredients are the very things you mention: butter, sugar, flowers (which happens to have been my baking blog's namesake since its inception a few years ago!). This is a beautiful post -- as are your paintings, your inspiring path, and the ways you share them on your lovely blog! Glad to have found you, and great choice of words!
