The Way To A Girl's Heart

Happy Monday, all! More Paris to come, but I thought today we'd get this Valentine's week off on the right foot...

Candy, flowers, and jewelry are perfectly lovely, but I think the real way to a girl's heart might be through her feet!

The best way to give a little love for Valentine's Day may just come in a shoe box! Even (or especially) if you're treating yourself.

And speaking of love, I'm over the moon for these pics of Sarah Jessica Parker's first ever shoe collection, SJP, shot by the Coveteur for O Magazine. See all the loveliness here. The collection, exclusively available at Nordstrom, walks into stores on February 28. Can't wait to get my hands (and feet) on them!

So what do you think about shoes for Valentine's Day? Or is chocolate more your style?

Have a pretty week! XO

  2. OK you can pick my shoes anytime! Love your picks....so many beauties, i could point with my eyes closed and love any of them:) Pretty to look at but I must admit I normally start dreaming about taking them off the minute I put them on! I have become a "flats" kind of girl but there is no denying the beauty and elegance of a great heel!

    1. Tina, I have to agree with you! I used to wear heels constantly when I worked in fashion. I don't know how I did it. Now that I work from home I'm a flats convert, and my feet love me much more. Which is why the pink rock studded Valentino may be my favorite of the bunch.

      Have a lovely Monday! XOXO

  4. I think this is a wonderful idea Jeanne! Let's all go shopping :):) I've been shopping for pumps and can't decide.. the heels (and prices!) are so high. A pretty pump is so flattering and it's worth spending money on a quality show that you can wear without regret. I'm looking forward to trying a pair of these on!

    2. Sadly so true, Leslie. I would have never dreamed that shoe prices could get as high as what we pay now. But I hear that the SJP line, while not cheap, will be well-priced. Now if they could just figure out a way to make high heels comfortable! XO

  5. Love this post, Jeanne! I would prefer shoes to chocolates 10 to 1!!!! I've had my eyes on several of those beauties you showed. And, how perfect for you that Nordstrom is going to be the exclusive carrier of SJP's new line!

Love that we're both thinking fashion today…and I love your idea of a moto jacket over a feminine dress…be at a Lela Rose or another designer.

    Enjoy your day!

  6. Jeanne,
I really need to start thinking about sexy pretty shoes to warm up my heart other than practical warm woolen socks, ski boots, snow boots and slippers to warm my cold feet! Pretty collection of SJP!

    1. Patricia, I hate to admit it, but right now there are three pairs of snow/rain boots scattered about our foyer. Even the pretty ballet flats have been banished in favor of practical and warm as of late! Must change that...

Happy Monday! (Love your happiness post today!) XOXO

  7. Jeanne,
Of course, I would prefer shoes than chocolates :-) I usually wear shoes on wedges. Wedges are fun and easier to wear than other types of heels for me.
But for evening dress Christian Louboutin may be my favorite ...
Happy Monday for you, too .

  8. The way to a woman's heart is surely with shoes!! These are all gorgeous, although a pair of red Tieks or maybe Ferragamo Varas would probably be more my speed these days!

Have a wonderful week, Jeanne! xoxo

  9. Shoes would definitely be the way to go as long as we could pick them out ourselves! Love those Oscar de La Rentas - a pretty floral pattern for spring.
