Sweetness in Seattle: Dahlia at the Ticking

If you live in the Seattle area, you know that one of the sweetest spots to shop is Red Ticking, where Pam Robinson creates magical vignettes from the most wonderful finds.

And if you have a sweet tooth, you know that one of the best places to satisfy your cravings is the Dahlia Bakery. So how wonderful that this week these two sweet spots come together! I hope you will join me this Thursday, December 12, at 6pm when Tom Douglas (he of those amazing coconut cream pies) comes to Red Ticking to sign his Dahlia Bakery Cookbook. There will be sweet treats and bubbles and, of course, the Ticking is decked out for the season with all sorts of fantastic gifts for all, so you can finish your holiday shopping while you nosh (Pam is a genius for selecting the perfect gift at the perfect price).

If you are like me, you've got plenty of cookbooks already, but what I love about adding the Dahlia Bakery to my shelf is that it's packed not only with recipes for some of my favorite treats, but also instructions on how to make them come out flawlessly - something that comes in handy no matter what you are baking.

There's even tips for how to make and frost the best cupcakes ever, so that yours are just as good as the ones we line up for at the Dahlia Bakery. Dangerous information for some (Nordstrom PR team, you know who you are).

So if you are in the area on Thursday, I hope you will join me (and the Tom's Favorite Coconut Macaroons I'm baking). You can RSVP at pam@redticking.com

If not, you can find the deliciousness here. And some of Pam's favorite finds on 1st Dibs.

Here's wishing you a sweet week and a delicious season! XO

  9. Love the Dahlia Lounge and this cookbook is amazing. I so wish I could make this event! I totally forgot about it. I'm hosting a party tomorrow so I'll have to miss it but I will definitely stop by over the next few days. It's been a long time since I've shopped at this lovely home decor store.
