Holiday Traditions: A Very Merry Book Club

We all have our holiday traditions - from the type of tree we bring home to what kind cookies we leave for Santa on Christmas Eve. December flies by so fast - I think traditions serve as a way to stop time, if only for a moment, and help us recall the best of the season from the rest of the blur once it's all past. I recently read that new traditions are to be treasured as much as old ones, a sentiment that I just love.

One of my favorite traditions has to be our Holiday Book Club. Take nine chic girls, add a cocktail or two, start with a spirited gift swap, and merriment - not to mention a bit of healthy competition - is bound to ensue.

The rules? Give something you'd want to receive yourself. Stealing is encouraged.

After the wrapping paper and ribbon has settled, it's time for a feast, which is bound to be beautiful, especially with friends Dana and Pam co-hosting. On the menu this year? Kobe beef burgers with caramelized onions and brie. Yum! (Discussing the book selection - this time The Circle - is optional.)

Cheers, girls! Here's to next year.

What are your favorite holiday traditions?

    1. Thanks, Stacy! I can't take credit for the tree and table, though. That is all my super-talented friend, Dana. Happy Holidays to you, as well!
