Golden Hours

"You must have been warned about letting golden hours slip by; but some of them are golden only because we let them slip by. "  --James Matthew Barrie

This year's fall foliage is spectacular. The trees dressed up in their best and brightest. Orange may be the color of the moment with Halloween next week, but it's the yellow leaves I'm loving now. Against a blue sky they glow like pure gold. On gray days they are surrogate sunshine.

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope your weekend is full of golden hours! XO

  2. Hello Jeanne

I love your watercolour which depicts the gold and blue so perfectly and which I see from our window.
I prefer the softer more muted fall colours.

    enjoy your weekendxx

  4. Jeanne, I agree, the yellows are just exquisite this year, deep and golden to a citrusy chartreuse, I've never seen such beautiful color in our corner of the globe. Beautiful painting.

  6. Beautiful, Jeanne! Yes, golden moments are meant to be cherished and we hope to have a few this weekend at our last regatta. Gold medals would be nice, too! We hope you enjoy the sunshine, actual or surrogate, this weekend.
