A Blue and White Brunch: Some Inspiration

Happy Monday! Was it a lovely weekend? Let's start the week with a bit of the blues -- the good kind, of course. I know I've been teasing you for awhile now with the Blue and White Brunch I threw a few weeks ago. I'm still hoping to get my hands on a few more photos before I post. In the mean time, why don't we start with some inspiration?

I flipped through my party files while planning the table and menu, and it struck me while looking at entertaining photos from the Tory Burch Blog that the reason why my table almost always comes out blue and white is because it's so darn versatile. Timeless, seasonless, fancy or simple - collect a few go-to pieces of blue and white and you can create so many different settings:

Looking back at my own table settings through the years, it's fun to see how with a little mixing and matching and switching out flowers with the seasons, how easy it has been to maximize my blue and white and come up with something different and special every time:

Spring

Summer

Fall

Winter

Do you have a go-to color palette for entertaining or do you tend to mix it up?

Stay tuned for more from a late June Blue and White brunch! XO

  5. Blue and white is a combination that really does go with everything! We opted for all white when picked out our china so that we can add color with different salad and dessert plates and even glassware. We can't wait to see your pictures!

  8. All of your table settings are splendid!!! Love the ever gorgeous blue and white combo. Funny enough, I have a beautiful blue and white china pattern that I have not used in ages! I have some gold and white which I love and have enjoyed using my Spode Woodland, which lends itself to a rather subtle palette.

Might need to get out the blue and white...it always looks great with pink flowers! :)

  10. Hello Jeanne

    I love seeing your watercolours.

Blue and white is crisp, fresh and beautiful. I have a yellow/blue/white combo which I use for casual dining. My day to day in Pink Tower, Spode pattern.
