Shall we start Monday off on a blue note? As promised, here's another look at the Blue and White Brunch I hosted last month.
As much as the theme was blue and white (the guests even dressed in blue and white), the vision started with pink - peonies were giving up their last gorgeous blooms and I imagined a blue and white table spiked with pretty pink blossoms.
We started in the kitchen with coffee, tea, and a cocktail - La Rosette, which I spied on the This is Glamorous tumblr. Just St. Germain, Pink Champagne and a rim sprinkled with lavender sugar. A divine sip for a summer bash!
For brunch, we nibbled on croissants, Ina's blueberry scones, and Gwyneth's gluten-free banana date muffins (which actually weren't bad as a gluten free option). A tomato-basil tart, sausage and limoncello fruit salad were a hit, as was "It's Never Too Early For Chocolate" coffee cake.
The most delicious part? Sitting around talking about just about everything under sun and enjoying the company of dear friends. A perfect way to celebrate a blue-sky day in June.
