Ho, Ho, Hostess Gift!

'Tis the season for all kinds of merriment - which means lots of hostess gifts! I think giving homemade treats seems a little sweeter. So when I saw Traditional Home's "Coco Bliss" story with a recipe for a "master blend" of chocolate that makes the perfect cup of coco and other holiday treats, I was inspired to whip some up.


And what's hot coco without marshmallows? The Barefoot Contessa has a simple, yummy recipe.



Package them up pretty with a recipe gift tag, add some cheery ribbon and an ornament or two, and you have a sweet little treat for your favorite hostess!

  2. Are you selling these? How lovely to bring something that can be used. I love bringing something home made, fresh bread, teas and cookies. During the month of December, I try to remember my "everyday people" like the gas guy, my bank teller, the sanitation dept., the mail persons, and they are always so appreciative of something home made.

    1. Patricia you are so sweet! Perhaps I could fill the gap in the sweets market left by Hostess? I think my kitchen would get pretty sticky if I tried, though. I'm sure all the people who receive your homemade gifts are very thankful! XO

  5. Eh bien, Jeanne, I have to agree with Patricia: Your hostess gift is professional grade, ma chère! I would consider buying it if I saw it at a local boutique... One of the perks of being practical (borrowing a recipe from the great Ina,) and creative (being able to design such fabulous packaging for the gift...) I suppose... Well done.
