Our newish sofas are lacking a key element of cozyness - the perfect pillows. So I've been spending a lot of time at Red Ticking, sifting through stacks of vintage French fabrics.

Pam Robinson has been hunting for vintage linens for decades, and her collection is staggering. So much to love, you could almost get lost in the piles.

See anything you like? (She has candles and blankets, too - just about anything you'd need for a cozy weekend at home).
Hope yours is lovely. XO

Secretly wishing Santa would open up a shop like Red Ticking here...I see lots of pretty things I would love to spruce up my home for the holidays and for gift giving.

Patricia, I was hoping to tempt you to visit us in Seattle to do a little Ticking shopping! Happy Weekend, XO
DeleteMore French than the French! Speaking of...don't know if you saw my response, Jeanne but I practically bounced out of my chair at the mere suggestion that you might be heading my way next Summer! If there is anything I can do to help convince Mr. H please let me know and if it is a go, I would be delighted to make suggestions for an amazing trip...
ReplyDeleteBon Weekend,
H
Thanks, Heather! I will keep you posted and would love to hear your suggestions. Keep your fingers crossed! XO
DeleteI've seen Pam's collection and it's wonderful. I'm lucky in the fact all I have to do is hunt around my studio for things. If you need any help let this textile person know!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!

So beautiful! I love the collection.....really classic. Pillows can add so much to a space and vintage and antique textiles are the prettiest!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, have a great day and weekend:)
I wish Pam was near me! I love the beautiful fabrics that she carries.
ReplyDeleteThank yo for sharing, Jeanne. I hope that all is well with you.
Happy Friday.

Bonjour Jeanne. Well, just my luck. I stopped by Red Ticking last Monday at the end the local sightseeing day I treated myself to, just to realize when I arrived that most boutiques are closed on Mondays in Madison Valley. I was so disappointed, and felt like I was back in France (where many shops are closed that day as well,) for a second. Even Inès Pâtisserie was not open to customers. I will have to talk to the owner, Nora, about that... Grrrr... So, long story short, very happy you took the time to show us here some of the things I COULD have seen chez Red Ticking! Bon weekend, Jeanne. -- Veronique PS: Just saw our friend Heather's message above. Thinking about Provence next summer, eh? :-)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your Madison Valley misadventures. You'll just have to come back very soon (but skip Tuesday and Sunday because those are other quiet days in the Valley). Yes! We've been invited to Provence next summer. I'm crossing my fingers that it will all come together. I've never been and would so love to go. Happy Weeekend, Veronique. XO
DeleteCan't wait to see it in person next month! :)

p.s.
i knew french produce would be great, but i didn't know it would make me mad to taste what food SHOULD taste like.
Oh Michele, I know exactly what you mean - one of my favorite things about Paris is that the food tastes like food. It's crazy what we miss out on here. Glad you had such a great time! XO
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I love vintage fabrics, and we do not have a good source for it here :( Love all the vintage French striped fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLoi
I especially love the striped fabrics - lovely colour combinations. I would happily spend some time wandering around this delightful shop - if only I lived closer!!!
