Where I found the the most glorious parrot tulips. They seemed to spark with all the brightness of fall and begged to be paired with blue and white for our table.

I'm helping my Mother with the flowers for our Thanksgiving table, and hope that I can paint with a similar palette on Thursday.
What's inspiring your Thanksgiving table?

Jeanne,
ReplyDeleteI am so inspired by the many beautiful colors of Thanksgiving. Take a look here at Jamie's table which her husband Brian thought looked like an Easter table.

I have new homespun linen napkins for my table and my antique linen tablecloths will grace our tables for Thanksgiving day. I have black twine and twigs for my Thankful Tree and each place setting will have a card and a pen for all to write down what they are thankful for.
There will be candles and I am so excited to share the day with friends and my family.
Enjoy.

Jeanne your table is gorgeous and I love your colors. Parrot tulips are some of my favorite flowers so great choice. I love that you're like me and don't polish your sterling silver candlestick holders. I personally like the patina better. I know whatever you decide to do for the holiday it will be beautiful!

ReplyDeleteI love the complimentary colours you have chosen for Thanksgiving and the parrot tulips, what a find at this time of year. I am sure they will make a wonderful still life for you to paint.
Wishing you the joys of Thanksgiving. We are guests at a friend, who has horses, so some riding is in order before dinner. Tally ho

ReplyDeleteOh it's stunning, Jeanne. I love your blue and white china and the orange is the perfect complement!! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving ~
ReplyDeleteOur in-laws are hosting so it's up to them what they'll put on the table. We'll be arriving with pies and wine! Love the pop of orange against the blue & white - Eddie Ross did something similar last year for turkey day. Woishing you a wonderful day, Jeanne!

What a stunning table, Jeanne! We will be fitting so many people around my Mom's table that there won't be much room for flowers, which is inspiring too. :) Thank you so much for all of your kindness, support, graciousness and the inspiration that you share. Gros, gros bisous et Happy, Happy Thanksgiving!!
