Falling for Paris

Meanwhile, over at Hello Lovely, the lovely Michele is busy packing for a trip to Paris. Lucky girl! Aren't we jealous? Recently, she spurred the discussion "Is there a bad time to be in Paris?"  The resounding consensus was mais non! But I have to say, autumn is a particularly magical time to visit. I'm sure Michele doesn't need any help getting excited, but since I plan to be living to vicariously through her, I thought today I'd take us all on a dream jaunt through Paris in the fall. Ready to go?

Have a wonderful time, Michele. Can't wait to see the city through your eyes.

In what season would you most like to visit Paris?

This year we are planning for the spring. To celebrate my 40th birthday.....I will always feel ageless in Paris!

  3. What a beautiful escape! I've only been to Paris in June (twice), so I think it's only right that I experience it in every season. Christmas in Paris? Magic!!

  4. Stop!!!!! You are killing me with these images, I would want nothing more than to be getting on a plane right now and heading to Paris to enjoy the magic in the fall! Lucky Michele, if she werent' so darn nice, I would be insanely jealous but instead super happy for her and cannot wait for her to share her highlights. Think there are few places in this world that can compare in being able to truly ignite every one of your senses!

  5. We have a penchant for Paris in the spring and having lived there, we'd say January is probably not the best time to visit. It's as if the whole city is hung over from the holidays!

    1. Debra, you are right. I was just lunching with a girlfriend and we were remembering when we were in Paris (separately) during the horrible August heat wave in 2003. Admittedly, that wasn't Paris on her best behavior! I'll take spring or fall. XOXO

  7. I agree that Michele doesn't need any help getting excited but this doesn't hurt a bit! Last time I was in Paris was in October (a few years back - unfortunately not THIS October :)) and it was lovely!

  10. It looks so beautiful in the fall. Maybe having only been to Paris in the summer means I must return...in the fall!

  11. How exciting for Michelle to be travelling to Paris. The beautiful part is she will not be a part of the throngs of tourists and will have the city to herself. Off season travel is wonderful and special and more opportunity to meet the locals.

I will seek out her blog

    Thanks for the wonderful images

    Helen x
