Back From The Beach

Hi, everyone! How are you? We're back and still shaking the sand from our shoes.

Our Cannon Beach, Oregon, days were full of silvery gray shingles and blue hydrangeas. Of morning mists and tide pools, starfish and seashells, soft sand and fast-flying kites. Bonfires at sunset and s'mores under the stars.

Don't you just love the beach?

Happy Monday, all! Hope your week is off to a lovely start.  XO

  1. YES I do love the beach, never have been to Oregon but heard its gorgeous and your pictures certainly show that!

  2. That is one big rock. What beautiful star fish! Hope you had a good time!

  3. have never seen the shore of Oregon...your photos give good reason to go, gorgeous

  4. Nice to have you back! And it sounds like you had a lovely time.

We are hoping to make a getaway for the beginning of September and there might be some beach time involoved...

  5. Cannon Beach is a wonderful destination. Several friends of mine have stayed there this summer. Don't you wish the water were a little blue-r and a little warm-er, so we could all, you know, swim in it like we used to in "the Big Blue?" :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  6. So happy that you had a great trip, Jeanne! There is just something rejuvenating about the beach. Welcome back.
    Happy Monday.

  7. i do i do.

waiting for my blue hydrangeas to bloom anyday now!

    smiles to you.

  8. Those are my two favorite things about the beach (I guess besides the sound of the waves!)...gray shingles and hydrangeas. You can't go wrong with Cannon Beach - how nice! Welcome back. :)

  9. I love this post. Cannon Beach is a place I want to visit someday. I want to see those giant rocks at the beach. I live on the East coast and have never been out west. Did you take all of these photos? They are wonderful.
