Any fun plans for the weekend? I'm heading to the kitchen to whip up a batch of sugar cookies for my Dad:

Martha Stewart
He's a tough guy to buy for -- "I don't need anything" -- with quite the sweet tooth. So homemade cookies should be a hit.
Speaking of homemade, a friend commissioned me to paint her husband a Father's Day gift. We all share a love of Sun Valley, so I imagined their girls playing with the family dog while Mt. Baldy looked on...

Hopefully it will make him smile!
What plans do you have to celebrate the dads in your life this weekend?
Have happy one! XO

Your painting is beautiful and what a great idea wish I had thought of that for my husband.

what a great idea for a Father's Day gift! We are taking my Dad to the beach for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad is a big rafter so he'll be on the river which makes him happy. Father's Day in Germany was a month ago so I think that gets me off the hook for my husband. We're going to see what our out of town visitors want to do and go from there. :) Those cookies look yummy! I'm sure that will make your Dad very happy. :)
ReplyDeleteBonjour Jeanne. Yours is the first post I have read about Father's Day so far. I love that cookie! This year, I am happy to report I will be celebrating with my Dad in Paris. It has not happened in years. So exciting. Too bad my poor husband will be here alone in Seattle that day, but Junior and I have prepared a small surprise for him! :-) Take care.
