"Earth laughs in flowers." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Could anything be more dazzling than the color riot of a field full of tulips, stretching as far as the eye can see?

The sun is shining in Seattle, and just an hour or so north, the tulips in the Skagit Valley are at their peak. Millions of brightly hued heads bobbing in the sun, as if to say hello to a perfect spring day.
Have you ever wandered in a tulip field? The colors are so vivid, so bright they almost seem unreal. It's impossible not to be happy with them laughing in color at your feet.
Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your week blooms beautifully! XO

Love tulips....in fact going tulip shopping today, have some girlfriends coming over for a casual dinner tomorrow night. Definitely springs poster child flower....and gorgeous in all their many colors! Have a great Monday, wish the sun was shining here, its more rain but we needed it!

I am glad one of us made it to La Conner this week! I heard the lines were so long this weekend they asked people "not" to go! ;-) Imagine that... Fortunately, your post showed me what I was missing this year AND I found beautiful tulips [straight from Skaggit, they claim!] at the local PCC. Merci, Jeanne et bonne semaine. ReplyDeleteVeronique, we went early on Sunday morning and while there were lots of people, it wasn't overwhelming (I hate crowds!) and traffic wasn't bad. But when we left, the cars had lined up, I-5 North was jammed and we were so glad we were early risers and had timed it just right! Glad you found some beautiful tulips, too. Enjoy the sun today!
ReplyDeleteMorning!

These rival the blooms in Holland - no wonder they created the first economic bubble! How pretty!

Believe it or not...I never have, but it is on my wish list. Someday, I really want to visit Holland in the peak of the tulip season. Of course, Skagit in Washington would be a great Plan B!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a colorful week!
