Book It!

Can you believe it's March already? When I booked March 1st for Book Club weeks and weeks ago, it seemed like such a long time to wait.  I'm so happy that the time has flown by.

We've been reading State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. I couldn't put it down.

As much as I love to read, it's gathering around a lovely table with a group of treasured girlfriends that makes Book Club one of my favorite nights.

I love the idea of setting the scene with lots of flowers and piles of vintage books, making the table as pretty as the faces seated around it!

Are you in a Book Club? What book are you currently reading?

  1. I used to be in a book club but we never actually got around to discussing the book. But it was always fun!

  3. I envy those of a Book Club and dream of one day being able to actually read on a timeline! I am the worse! I love to read but just don't make the time I should for this guilty pleasure. Thanks so much for sharing these lovely images and hope you have a beautiful day.

  4. I was in a book club before I started back to school and loved it! We had so much fun, so I need to get back into the swing of things.
I will look for the book you read because I need something for the weekend. I am going to try to plant my herbs and flowers this weekend too. Sounds like a plan to me.
Thank you for sharing, as always, these beautiful images. I am going to find a new rose and peonie this year.
    Happy Thursday.

  5. Hello Jeanne! These photos were lovely--next up for you to do your own! I know you can--um, in all of your free time? ;)

I decided to reread Jane Eyre and while I was in the States, I went to a bookstore to get a copy. I really wanted to invest in a hardbound to keep may alas, there wasn't one! Says quite a bit about our society, non?

  6. I love my book club - a group of close girlfriends who all take turns hosting. My turn is this weekend! Our book this time is Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Two thumbs up, highly recommend :)

  7. Love reading! I'm currently reading Game Change (fascinating!) but want to switch back to fiction. So, happy to have your resounding endorsement.

I've been in a couple of book clubs...but my current one hasn't met in several months. Might be time for me to step up! :)

  8. I was just invited to join a new book group of ladies. I only know one of them so it will be a new group for me. We are reading "The House of Spirits" by Isabel Allende. I need to get busy reading and I already have a board on Pinterest with my books that I want to read.

  9. How pretty - love the idea of mixing vintage books with bouquets though I would be afraid of watermarks... Hmm, perhaps not if I use some of our designs! Currently reading Rules of Civility and can't put my Kindle down. Happy weekend!

  10. I am not in a book club and actually have never been but is certainly an appealing idea. I have such a huge stack next to my bed it's embarrassing!!
