New Tricks

The minute that you're not learning I believe you're dead. -- Jack Nicholson

So I'm going back to school tonight. Just for one evening, but I'm looking forward to learning something new! I mentioned a few months ago that I've always been fascinated with letterpress printing.

One of the personal touches at our wedding were the stars that decorated the menus-- I painted them and then the designer worked them into the letterpress process.  Ever since, I've wondered what else I could do if I mastered the art of letterpress myself. So tonight I'll give it a try. Who knows, with a little practice maybe I can learn how to make something as delightful as these creations:

I'll let you know how it goes!

What new tricks would you like to learn?

  4. Jeanne this is fabulous! I have just ordered a letterpress to see if I love pressing as much as I love receiving a letterpress card. I have been looking for a commercial tabletop press, but I will be patient until the right one comes along!
Keep me posted on what you learn. I think this is such a great venture.
    Happy Thursday.
