But what's really caught my eye are the flashes of pink that keep swirling by.
A favorite scene from one of my favorite films is in Funny Face, when the fantastic Kay Thompson as fashion editor Maggie Prescott breaks into song, commanding her staff to banish the dreariness from the pages of her magazine by thinking pink. If I'm ever feeling a little blue, or want to ward off a case of the mean reds, Maggie's enthusiasm for the powers of pink never fails to lighten my mood.

And come spring, it seems that the little black dress might have some competition from the little pink dress.

This confection from Peter Som looks like it might be fit for a modern day Holly Golightly.

My favorite is this sleek little number from Jenni Kayne. I love the way the slits at the hem turn it into a pretty pink tulip of a dress.
And while I'm completely behind how they've styled it with minimal accessories, big sun glasses and a messy ponytail, I'd like to punch it up with the fabulous tough-lady shoes from Jason Wu.
I'm in love. And I think they would add the perfect edge to temper the pink bubble gum sweetness.
I haven't bought an all pink dress since Tolo my freshman year of college. But that might just have to change come spring.
What do you think? Pink? Yes? Or in the words of Maggie Prescott, "I wouldn't be caught dead."
