Curves Ahead

Happy Monday, all. Did you enjoy the weekend? Things were just lovely here. With the temperatures at long last tipped toward summer, it was finally time to for some delicious curves...

The warm blush of a Côte de Provence makes the perfect match for the sunny months--it's like summer in a bottle.

A little rosé on ice makes me dream of melons and lavender -- of an early morning trip to the brocante followed by a lazy afternoon in a hammock.....and the most serious order of business for the day is a long lunch or a game of boules.

And if a trip to France isn't in the immediate future, it also pairs nicely with a leisurely Saturday in the backyard or spent with friends by the pool...

Oh, I know it's Monday, and here in Seattle the clouds have rolled back in. But with our 'fridge stocked with a few curvy pink bottles, I'm feeling the pace of things slow a bit. Summer is here to stay I hope, and it's time to stop and smell the roses--wouldn't you agree?

Happy week, everyone! XO

  1. Indeed! I was just telling a dear friend that I need a "pink" weekend of wine and roses!

  2. My husband and I got stuck on Domaine's kind of a go to summer beverage. Love a rose...and your illustration!

  3. Oh I can't wait until Summer. Actually I can't wait until I get patio furniture so I can host lovely meals outside with these kinds of beverages. =)

  4. Have a few bottles chillin for these hot southern days.
We just got out our watercolors and started painting with the kids, you always inspire me, we will have to share our pieces.
    Cheers from Nashville! XO

  5. The rose looks divine! Hooray for summer : 0

  6. Well you know how I feel about Rosé!! And too funny we were talking today about boule, bocce and pétanque on twitter today! My son owns a pétanque set from when he studied in Aix. I'm just loving your vision!!

  7. What a lovely illustration! I'm so happy to br finding the fish shaped bottles more often over here. They immediately take me back to the south of France, as does your post! A votre sante!
