Crazy About...Chandeliers

Over the holidays, we went to a party at a beautiful home. Our friends had lovingly restored it, leaving its beautiful bones and flourishes, but making it modern and livable for their young family. They did a fantastic job of mixing old and new in their decor, too.

I fell head over heels for their chandeliers.

Chandeliers are an obsession of mine--especially vintage crystal ones. They whisper of so many dreamy things to me. Luxury Hotel. Grand old home. Paris flea market.

I love them mixed with contrasting elements--suspended over a rustic farm table...

I'm most fond of the one hanging over our dining room table. Like almost everything that is beautiful in our home, it's from Red Ticking.

I love the patterns of shadow and light they cast.

I love them in every room. This sweet little baby, found on 1st Dibs, added the perfect final touch to our powder room remodel.
