Jolly good!

My favorite shot from the trip-Big Ben on a nearly sunny Saturday afternoon.

And we're back! London was absolutely lovely! Almost everything exceeded our expectations, including the weather--just a little drizzle, with smatterings of sunshine. Except yesterday morning, when we got soaked making a mad dash for Harrods (about 15 minutes from our hotel) to stock up on Ladurée macarons (there's a petite Ladurée salon in the food stalls at Harrods, behind the Krispy Kreme--seriously). Just one caramel with salted butter would be worth the wet feet. So much better than any you can get in Seattle.

 Just had two for breakfast!

 A delicious trip all around.

A Saturday street market just around the corner from Number Sixteen.

Champagne tea overlooking the gardens at Number Sixteen.

 Pub crawl.

We ate it all up--soaked up the sights, gorged ourselves on art and loved every minute of it! Well, not so much the 148 steps out of the Russell Square Tube station (broken lifts), but pretty much everything else!

 The London Eye

At the Victoria & Albert museum.

The Elgin Marbles at the British Museum

Taking it all in at the Tate Britain.

Editing down to a few highlights will be tough, but I'll share some of the best with you over the next few days... Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon. Until then, cheers!
